So my dirty old Coach bag was the perfect canvas.
Heads up, this project will take some time... and it can be difficult procuring enough tan sharpies.
Totally worth it though.
Gross
Tote Bag, Isopropyl Alcohol, Eye Dropper, Sharpie Markers
1. Draw different shapes with a tan Sharpie
2. Outline with brown and add a drop of isopropyl alcohol to each spot
Sharpie ink is alcohol based so the isopropyl alcohol dissolves and blurs it. The isopropyl alcohol will evaporate and the sharpie will dry... So you're good in the rain, just the ink is left so water won't dissolve it
**Don't get drunk and spill any adult beverages on it though.
This is AWESOME. Thanks for the great DIY project, and I'm so excited you've started a blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this info about the sharpie vs. alcohol. I had no idea.
